Disability & Discrimination Act

In 2004 the disability discrimination act came into force. The use of Braille and tactile signs has become commonplace in public buildings. Many organisations have already taken strategic action to comply with the legislation. The act itself sets out strict guidelines to show the need for signage in public places to ensure there is not discrimination against the visually impaired.
